Seasonal Part-Time Studio Operations + Fulfillment Assistant Job Posting
Studio Operations & Fulfillment Assistant
Part-Time / Seasonal | September–December 2026
Kulig Aromatique is a growing fragrance supply company based in Montreal, specializing in high-quality fragrance and raw materials for candle, soap, and bath & body makers.
We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented team member to support order fulfillment, production, and day-to-day studio operations.
This is a hands-on, behind-the-scenes role within a small but growing business. It is not customer-facing, and there is plenty of opportunity to take on more responsibility as the business continues to grow.
The position will begin in September 2026 and run through the end of December as a seasonal role, with the opportunity to extend into a permanent part-time position and potentially grow from there.
HOURS & SCHEDULE
• Approximately 12 hours per week
• Weekday availability required, primarily Monday–Friday between 9am–5pm
• Schedule can be structured as 2–3 shorter shifts (for example, 4-hour shifts) or 1–2 longer shifts
• Consistent weekly availability is important, but the exact schedule is flexible
• Additional hours may be available during our busiest season, particularly October–December
• Some evening hours are possible if preferred
• Weekend availability is not required, but can absolutely be discussed if that works better with your schedule
We care much more about reliability, quality of work, and meeting deadlines than following a rigid schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders
• Print shipping labels and organize outgoing shipments
• Prepare orders for courier pickups (UPS, Purolator, etc.)
• Fill, weigh, and label fragrance oils and raw materials
• Label private-label products such as soaps and sugar scrubs
• Assist with palm oil production, including melting, filling, and labeling
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
• Follow established instructions and SOPs carefully
• Complete work consistently to a very high standard
• Help monitor inventory and flag products that are running low
REQUIREMENTS
• Comfortable lifting and handling boxes up to 15 kg / 33 lbs
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, production-style environment
• Extremely detail-oriented, organized, and efficient
• Takes genuine pride in producing high-quality work
• Able to work independently and follow structured processes and SOPs
• Comfortable with repetitive tasks such as filling, labeling, packing, and organizing
• Comfortable interviewing, communicating, and receiving training in English
(Written materials and SOPs can be provided in French.)
• Comfortable working independently at times, including when the owner is not on-site
• Reliable transportation to our location on Royalmount Avenue in Mont-Royal
THE IDEAL PERSON
Beyond experience, we’re looking for someone who:
• Learns quickly and adapts well when priorities change
• Isn’t afraid to ask questions when something is unclear
• Is honest, dependable, hardworking, and forward-thinking
• Has a genuine “can-do” attitude
• Understands that quality comes before quantity
• Takes ownership of their work rather than simply completing a task
• Notices when something could be done better and speaks up
• Is comfortable with both independent work and collaboration
• Wants to learn, improve, and potentially grow with the company
Experience matters, but character, work ethic, attention to detail, and reliability matter just as much to us.
ASSETS - NICE TO HAVE, NOT REQUIRED
• Access to a vehicle, particularly for occasional shipment drop-offs
• Previous fulfillment, production, warehouse, or shipping experience
• Experience with Shopify or shipping platforms
• French language proficiency
GROWTH OPPORTUNITY
This role is being hired seasonally to start, but we would love to find someone who could ultimately grow with the business.
Over time, there may be opportunities for:
• Increased hours during busy periods
• A permanent part-time position following the seasonal term
• Potential progression toward full-time work in 2027–28
• Greater independence and responsibility
• Involvement in day-to-day operations and workflow management
• Eventual involvement in customer service management
• Long-term growth into a more senior operations or managerial role
For the right person, this does not have to remain simply a packing and fulfillment position. As the company grows, we want the people who grow with it to have opportunities to do the same.
COMPENSATION & WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Starting at $18/hour, with potential for more based on relevant experience
• Flexible scheduling within Monday–Friday
• Shifts can be adjusted around the hours in which you work best; for example, 9am–3pm, 12pm–4pm, etc.
• Evening shifts may also be possible if preferred; however, evening shifts may require dropping outgoing packages at the appropriate courier location, as regular pickups occur during weekday business hours
• Flexible time off, provided work and deadlines are planned for and completed
• Easy access to the owner by text or phone whenever the owner is not on-site and you need help
Because this is not a customer-facing role, the studio environment is comfortable and relaxed. Dress comfortably, listen to music, podcasts, or audiobooks while you work, and take your break when it makes sense for you.
The company operates on a foundation of trust and accountability. There will be clear responsibilities and deadlines, but within those parameters, you will have a lot of independence in how you organize and complete your work.
This is also a highly collaborative environment. We don’t want someone to feel like “just an employee.” We want you to feel like a valued coworker and an integral part of the business; someone who can take as much pride in what we are building as we do.
PAID TRIAL SHIFT
A paid 2–4 hour trial shift will be part of the hiring process.
This gives both you and us the opportunity to make sure the role, environment, and working style are a good fit. You will be compensated for the trial shift regardless of the final hiring decision.
A NOTE FROM THE OWNER 🩷
I have always hired based on what I see in someone as a person, combined with their work ethic, reliability, and ability to do great work, rather than simply looking at degrees or accolades.
That approach has helped me build a wonderful team over the years, and I intend to keep hiring that way.
So when you apply, be yourself. :)
If this sounds like a fit for you, please send your resume along with a short note telling me a little about who you are as a person, your interests, and your goals to:
